The Bagnada Museum was born thanks to the desire of rediscovering, and protecting, a heritage that was disappearing as threatened by our present time. The return of a reality, that in Valmalenco – and especially in Lanzada – played a great role in the past, gives now the opportunity to think about the historical and social meaning of mining that had characterized the culture of the local communities for more than two centuries.
